How to choose

Choosing a lab-grown diamond from the library

Every stone in the library is a lab-grown diamond graded by IGI, listed with its report number and measured size in millimetres. Lab-grown diamonds have the same crystal structure and hardness as mined diamonds; the difference is origin, not material.

A practical order for comparing stones: cut first for brightness (rounds carry a full cut grade), then colour and clarity, and only then carat. Two stones of the same carat weight can face up at different sizes, so compare the millimetre measurements too.

When you find a stone, ask for a line sketch with it. A 75% deposit after you approve the sketch reserves the diamond; the balance is due after CAD approval. Learn more in our lab-grown diamond education guide and how to read an IGI report.
