Custom Order Terms
Make the approved version clear.
Record the design direction, agreed changes and proposal version. Ask how a later change affects scope, cost and timing; a new request is not automatically part of an earlier approval.
Every proposal has a clear scope
Stellivon begins with a conversation and a written proposal. Browsing a concept, sending an inquiry, or discussing a stone does not create a purchase, reserve a stone, or authorize production. A transaction proceeds only after the order-specific proposal, applicable cancellation and return terms, and required approvals are provided and accepted.
How orders are distinguished
- Standard configuration: a confirmed stone paired with an established setting direction, metal, and size within its reviewed range.
- Engraving: personal text or marks added to an otherwise defined piece, subject to the proposal.
- Original commission: a design requiring new CAD, engineering review, or features outside a standard configuration.
- Change after approval: a request that may affect cost, stone availability, design review, or timing.
Two approvals before making
Every custom piece is approved twice. First, you approve the line-drawing sketch of your design (approval 1). After your deposit or payment, our workshop prepares a CAD rendering with top, perspective, front and side views and a specification, and you approve it (approval 2). We confirm the actual stone, design version, size (US and Hong Kong), metal, necessary order information, and payment authorization at that point; production is authorized only after approval 2. A deposit of 75% is due at checkout; the balance is due after you approve the CAD. If you decide not to proceed when you review the CAD, your deposit is refundable. We do not offer payment plans or installments. Making is then planned at approximately 20 calendar days; design conversations, transport, and customs are not included. Your formal proposal will state the estimated ship date.
Final sale for custom pieces
Custom and made-to-order pieces, including original commissions and engraved work, are final sale and cannot be returned once production has been authorized. Ready-to-ship and existing styles are also final sale and cannot be returned.
Resizing and remakes
A piece can be returned to our workshop for a size change where the design allows. One size change is free (you cover shipping). A change of up to 2 Hong Kong sizes is possible but requires a new band, charged separately; your centre diamond is reused.
Changes, cancellations, and concerns
Ask for any change or cancellation before you approve the CAD whenever possible. If a change is requested after approval, we will explain the revised proposal and timing before proceeding. Applicable order terms determine the available options for standard configurations, engraving, and original work. Nothing here limits rights that apply where an item is defective, incorrect, not as described, or not shipped as required. For help with an existing proposal, visit Contact.
