You do not need an entirely new ring structure to make a ring personal. An existing design direction can be a starting point for your preferred stone proportions, metal, fit and meaningful details. An original commission is appropriate when the idea needs design work beyond that starting point. The distinction is about scope, not how important the occasion is.
Route one: begin with an existing direction
Our Emerald Solitaire and Oval Silhouette concepts offer two visual starting points. Identify what you like first: a clear geometric outline, a continuous curve or the balance between the stone and band. Then describe what you would change.
The actual stone measurements, setting, metal and size still need to be reviewed together. Selecting a concept does not mean every modification is already engineered or that a stone has been reserved. The advantage of a starting direction is a more focused conversation, not a promise that every change is simple.
Route two: develop an original piece
An original idea may change the structure, arrangement or relationship between components. New CAD, engineering review or other development may be needed. That work and its boundaries belong in the proposal, including which version is being approved and how further changes will be handled.
Bring references for the feeling or detail you want to express, not an instruction to reproduce another brand's identity. A personal reference can help us understand you while leaving room for an original solution.
Three questions that make your brief useful
- What would you keep? Name the shape, balance or detail that attracted you.
- What would you change? Separate the essential feature from something you are happy to explore.
- How will you wear it? Tell us whether it stands alone, sits beside another ring or is intended for a particular occasion. Discuss fit and structure instead of assuming a picture tells the whole story.
Personal does not have to mean ceremonial
A ring can mark a promotion, a birthday, a relationship or simply a preference you have grown into. You can describe that meaning, or keep it private and share only the design choices. Our point of view leaves room for both.
Before making begins
The chosen route does not replace approval. The proposal needs to identify the actual stone and report status, design, metal, size, complete price and applicable terms. Approximately 20 calendar days of making are planned after the required confirmations and payment authorization; design discussions and delivery time are separate.
